I have been involved in the decorating trade since the early 1980's, starting out as a painters mate.

Most of the work at this time was on new builds and working on site. This was a good learning experience, which taught me the correct sequence from preparation to completion.

In 1988 I enrolled on a course at the "Wondertex School of Texturing" to receive tuition in artexing of ceilings, this was followed up by an advanced course run by "Artex Ltd", to learn the more advanced skills of comb texturing work.

Over the last 20yrs I have gone on to build up a large database of builders, associated trades, local guest houses and businesses, who I have carried out work for.

Although artexing and coving has been a big part of my business over the past few years, In September 2008, I took the decision to concentrate mainly on the decorating side of things and this is now primarily my main business, this was due to a number of factors including a shoulder injury caused by the constant repetitive work on ceilings. I will continue to do artexing and coving but on a much smaller scale than over previous years.

Over the past few months, I have carried out a number of prime jobs, including painting and decorating for a local building contractor / developer, Knowles & Wright builders.

Other recent projects include the decorating of the reception and entrance hall at Larking Gowan accountants, Holt. and also decoration of office space at their Dereham branch. I was also privileged to be involved with the decoration of the new conference room, and headmasters office, at Gresham's school, holt. (Photos can be viewed in our gallery)

I can supply a wide range of high quality trade paints, in a massive colour range at competitive prices to my customers, having trade account facilities, enables me to have most paint and other materials delivered on site usually the same day.

In November 2008, I was accepted by Hamilton, manufacturers of the highest quality paint brushes and rollers, to join their "Decorator's Panel" which means I'm sent new Hamilton products, to access and report back to them my experience in the form of a questionnaire. As Hamilton make the finest brushes and rollers, this as you can imagine is a real privilege for me to be involved in.
